Updates On Artbeat Foals
1/16/12 Update from Artbeat 2011 foal
Hi Marie,
I took this video
http://youtu.be/MfdiDSk6g8Y the other day and have had people asking me about him and his breed already.  The vet was out for a "check up" and said she thought he was a warmblood.  He is just stunning to watch - it's hard to take your eye off of him and he moves so effortlessly - very light and agile on his feet!  The video doesn't do justice.  He reaches so deep with those 2 hind socks.  We have been talking already about coming to you in the future for our next little one :)  And he's SUCH a teddy bear - loves hugs & kisses. 11/4/11 Update from Artbeat 2011 foal

The Indian Giver.  Sure has dads extension. JN
Hi Marie,
I took Noah (The Beat Of My Art) to the NC futurity last month and did the open and non-pro longe line with him.  It was his first time at a show and he handled the crowds, rain, vendor booths, etc better than my seasoned show horse!  His first class didn't start until 10:00pm and there ended up being a two hour wait until the next longe line class.  He was so well mannered, I couldn't have asked for a better yearling!  We made some beginner mistakes, since neither one of us had ever done it before.. but everyone was asking about him and really liked him.  He is going to be such an easy-going two year old to show, I can't wait!  I've attached the picture we had taken at the show.  I'm on my 16.2hh HUS horse and Noah is beside us (the exact same size at not even 1 1/2 years old)!  KS

09/1/11 Update from Artbeat 2009 filly
CC here just sending you a photo of the beautiful filly by your stallion out of my warmblood mare Hollyanna.  Elle is now 16.1 and lives out in the pasture with my pony youngsters - all native prairie grass and just salt and minerals.  She is awesome.  The other one - Artie a gelding is also doing well he is 16hh.   He is sooo quiet.  Elle is more like her mother - very nosey.  We love them both and will consider breeding to him again - perhaps next year!

This is Khan Do Artitude "Arty" a 2009 colt out of indian artbeat and a local TB mare Khanum. We bought him a few months ago from a women who put him out in a field and he was not handled at all except to have his hooves done. He was quite skidish when we got him and disrespectful. Since then we have found a trainer who used clinton andersons methods of training and he is just amazingly smart. here is a  video of  him after 2 1/2 weeks with the trainer enjoy and thanks for our wonderful boy. 08/1/11 Update from Artbeat 2010 colt

Hi Marie, My 2010 Artbeat colt  is now 15 months and doing awesome!  He is just over 16 hands at the withers and almost 16.2 at the hip.  We have just recently started lunging him and getting him ready for the lunge line futurities.  We are planning on going to the NC and VA futurities.  He is SO laid back and such a pleasure to be around.  Everyone who comes out to the barn (even non-horsey people) come up to me and comment on how stunning he is.  We had a minor setback a few months ago when he rolled too close to the fence and got it caught around his leg and cut all the way around down to the cannon bone.  It severed 2 ligaments that will never heal back together, but he was never lame or even short strided on that leg.  He'd never been wrapped prior to the accident, and he just stood there and let us clean it, pack medicine on it, and change the bandage every single day.  He's the perfect gentleman.  He's got the most amazing stride and more personality than all the other horses at the barn put together.  I can't wait to start taking him out to the shows in September... he's going to be a superstar! Thank you for having such a wonderful stud. KS -- North Carolina

06/24/11 Update from Artbeat 2008 foal - Artcha Invitin Me
Vinny has been out and about at quarter horse shows! We are placing in all of our classes, Showmanship, and Hunter Under Saddle! so far we’ve gotten 2nds 3rds 6ths and 7ths in sms, 6ths, 7ths, 8ths, and 9ths in HUS. Its all about consistency and Vinny has work to do yet, he’s only been under saddle for 4 months.   He will be at Region 3 next month. Vinny is  17 hands at his butt and 16.1 at the withers so he still has a ways to grow!

06/06/11 Update from Artbeat 2009 foal out of A Rizen Talent
RZ is my best buddy!! I have had different saddles on him a few times, and today was my first time sitting on him. I am just taking it slow and steady! :-) He didn't even care I was sitting on him. I'll probably sit on him for a while then maybe my mom will walk me around and that's it, until he is three or a little older. :-) MC

Updated photos from our first 2009 Artbeat foal!
01/15/11 Update from Artbeat 2010 foal ~ Ishaam
I wanted to give you an update. Ishaam is doing very well. He is so sweet, he comes when he hears talking & follows us around when we are working in the pen. The only issue is with Gene, Ishaam follows way too close; as in when Gene turns around Ishaam is right there in his face. So we have to work on boundaries, but that is my problem I’m hugging and scratching on him every time I’m near him he thinks that is suppose to happen all the time. Needless to say, I love him & can’t wait for it to warm up so we can play alot more! S
12/14/10 Update from Artbeat 2010 foal ~ Ivahart

Home Safe!  He is happy as a clam and the trip went very well.  Thank you Marie, so very much, he is AMAZING!  I can't believe how sweet, gentle, and kind this baby is.  Thank you for your countless hours with him, it has certainly shown through.  He is not phased by the new barn and family and  seems so happy already.  The little filly and him have already taken to each other and are going to be best friends.  It is so crazy how HUGE this man is!  He is by far a whole hand taller than the filly!  Anyway, I can go on for ever tonight because I am so dang excited and happy.  I will stay in touch thank you again!
11/15/10 Update from Artbeat 2010 foal

Good afternoon,
I wanted to let you know that we attended an AWR inspection on Saturday in Alabama and our foal out of Indian Artbeat score First Premium and my mare scored Second Premium. Our goal was to have our foal Indy score First Premium and she did!  We were so excited and still are! She behaved nicely and really put on a show for everyone!  The judges had nothing but positive things to say about our foal and Indian Artbeat!  We have learned so much and are looking forward to raising this young baby! The judges said she had lots of potential and that we had definitely chosen the right stud for our mare!  I'm attaching some photos we took around the barn at the inspection, but as soon as I get the professional ones in, I'll send you some of those!  Thank you so much for ALL of your suggestions! You have really been such a great help to us! God Bless.

11/12/10 Update from Artbeat 2010 foal

A friend of mine (SD) bred to Indian Artbeat last year and her mare foaled on Easter of this year.  I purchased the colt from her as a weanling and have finally gotten around to taking some good pictures of him.  He is the best colt I have worked with- such a quick learner and a pleasure to be around.  I have named him "Noah" and am just waiting for his AQHA papers to come back but I have applied for the name "Ima Artbreaker".  Just wanted to commend you on such a nice stud!  A few friends that have met Noah are very interested in breeding their mares to your stud in the coming years because of the wonderful personality and gorgeous movement he throws! I plan on showing Noah lunge line next year and hopefully will be taking him in the lunge line class at Congress if all goes as planned.  Thought you'd be interested in seeing some pictures!  Some were taken at 6 months, some at 7!
Best Wishes,
KS

Vinny (2008) and I just got back from the Wisconsin State 4H Horse Expo. We did awesome. Got Grand in Western Showmanship out of 77 people. And got top ten out of 43 in English Horse Showmanship. But we did awesome.  I have my Western Showmanship class on video:
I also got pro pictures so when I get those proofs I will email you them. He is doing wonderful! I can’t tell you enough how wonderful your stallion is. Vinny’s a gentle giant.
Talk to you soon.
Thank you

9/20/10 Update from Artbeat 09 foal out of A Rizen Talent
Note from RZ’s owners ... sorry it took so long to update you on how RZ is doing. M loves him. He is so mild mannered. He is 15.1 hands now and filling out nicely. We monitor his weight close so he does not have trouble, but he does love to eat. He faded a bit in the sun this summer so isn't as black as he was but we aren't worried about that. He loads beautifully into the trailer still. He hasn't been taken anywhere this year but we plan on taking him to some local shows next year so he can get the feel of the show ring. There is a local show that has a sport horse in hand class and we look forward to taking him to that. He is buddies with M's other horse Dodger even though he is bigger than him he still gums to show his submissiveness. He gets along great with my other two kids too. T, my five year old brushes him and loves on him all the time, he just drops his head and looks for treats, she is the treat girl according to the horses. I am sending a picture so you can see how beautiful he is. M is standing next to him and she is 5'9" now if that gives you any idea of how much he has grown. I will try to send more pictures at a later time. Thanks again for the opportunity to own such a nice animal. M
3/10 Update from Artbeat 09 foal
Marie, I just wanted to sent you a note to let you know my colt, Yannick, has turned out to be more than I ever could have hoped for in a foal. He is beautiful, big and dark with just enough color to stand out. He is extremely smart and willing to learn. And he has learned so much in such a short period of time. Yet, there is still more, he has an easy going, people pleasing personality with a little sparkle in his eyes. I am looking forward to showing him this year in local shows and APHA. He will definitely be my partner for many years! Thank you for making my dream possible. K
3/10 Update from Artbeat 08 foal
Vinny (2008) is very neat. We plan on starting him late this summer because he’s growing like a sprout and doesn’t stop and his knees are not closed yet. He has a great temperament and is laid back. He is willing to do or go anywhere. I have taken him to two open shows and showed showmanship and halter. He’s placed 4th and 3rd in showmanship against lots of horses, and 2nd and 3rd in English halter against lots of horses. We will be showing him at the AQHA Congress 2010 in the 2 year old events. K
3/8/10 Update from Artbeat 09 foal out of A Rizen Talent
RZ is a fabulous horse.  We love him.  He enjoys playing with his new buddy, Shocker.  They really kick their heels up.  He is very curious.  We put things in the pasture for them to play with and he loves to pick up the pylons and carry them around.  M and him are bonding quite well.  He has even gotten use to my other two kids, who are 9 and 5.  Even when they are screwing around and making all kinds of noise and banging things around, he can careless.  He definitely has the type of personality that we like.  Just wanted to let you know how good he is doing.  Talk to you again soon.  M
12/17/09 Update from Artbeat 08 foal out of Plain Proud.  (HH purchased Nick before he was weaned and is working with him herself. )
Hi Marie! Just had to give you an update on Indy (Nick). He is doing awesome and is 16.1 right now. He has been amazing to train and just an overall super guy. I've been on him several times and he could care less and just takes everything in stride. Just thought I would send you an updated picture of him. Thanks again for an amazing horse! HH
12/08 I own a half brother to this filly that I bought from On Eagle's Wings. On top of being gorgeous babies and great movers, Indian Artbeat's foals are the calmest and most sensible baby that I have ever met. They all have great personalities and mine has been extremely trainable. I have met all the babies that were bred by OEW and they are all of the highest quality. If you meet this girl, you will take her home.
