“Our AQHA mare, Millie, foaled last night, just one day early.  Her baby, a solid bay colt, is 44-inches tall and just the sweetest thing alive!  Those little legs just go on forever, but are very straight and upright, so all is good.  His barn name is Bailey (Bay-Lee) because of his color and because we were at dinner at the old Bailey's in Chilli and just missed the birth.” DS

The mare is 20 and filly is one week old.

“Hi Marie, Just wanted to let you know that our beautiful filly arrived at 12:45 Wed am.” (4/21/10) SM

“We have a new addition at our barn as of this morning.  Cadillac, our paint mare, foaled a big, beautiful black filly early this morning. Both foal and mother are doing great, but unfortunately there is not enough white to register the foal as a regular paint, but rather a breeding stock paint.  I'm going to keep looking for more white though.  The filly is gorgeous, big boned, and full of energy   I also was hoping you could send me any information regarding getting the foal registered as a Warmblood. I've never done this and am unsure of what to do, but I do know I would like to do it.  I greatly appreciate all you've done.  Be looking for more pics - I'll be sending some.  God Bless.”

Later sent ...“I just spent the last hour in the pasture with our new baby!  She is too funny and so curious! Already loping around the field with her mother. She's leggy, that's for sure!“ JS   Georgia

(Though this filly did not likely have enough white to be a paint she is Registerable in the American Warmblood Registry and is eligible for AWR programs and to be shown and marketed as a sport horse.)
